last September 2013 we hauled out at Gold River Marina, Nova Scotia
this was the first time for us leaving the mast up … it must of taken us 9 hours to cut and tape the tarp to fit around the shrouds, mast, boom etc.
once back home we got to connect again with family and friends , my daughter Lily and her girlfriends, boy Wyatt, just about 3yrs. in this picture

Joe and I started renovation his kitchen, it turned out good, but what were we thinking .. ha ha …we removed 3 false ceilings, relocated plumbing and rewired
we had one of the worst winters, for snowfall, cold weather and storms
in January we gave seminars at the Toronto Boat Show
we met up with our friends Paul and Sheryl Shard, from Distant Shores II
we had our last two years adventure, published in the Ontario Sailor magazine
Joe went to the Annapolis Boat Show in U.S., and met up with Bob Bitchin, (love his magazines )
Joe taught a saw sharpening course in his work shop
Joe's son graduated from Fanshaw College in business, and he is heading out to Edmonton, Alberta for work in a month
I celebrated my 60, NO I mean 50th birthday !!!
we helped a friend fix his dock at our Georgian Yacht Club in Owen Sound, the boats were launched 7 days after we took this picture (note ice, it was 2 ft thick in places)
we helped our friend Jody Bauerlein with maple syrup production
Lily and I cleaned the road side of garbage, an annual thing we have done since she was 4 yrs old, had to stop for the horses , of course
I took up rug hooking, this pattern is from Christine Little, of Mahone Bay, N.S.
our friends Bill and Lauren Phinney, in there 42 ft. Grand Banks, are doing the Trent Severn Waterways, St. Lawrence River and ending in Cape Breton this year, we left them some charts and advise.
Joe took a Celestrial Navigation course thru Power and Sail Squadron, he wrote his exam a few weeks ago
our friends Richard and Ella took us out in Quixotic for a sail in Georgian Bay, near Wiarton
we are still sea glass hunting … this was found near Owen Sound, a rare tail light of a Chev automobile
We completed this 8 sided cedar gazebo and deck for a friend
I met up with a close friend Cindi and her husband Angel, it has been 15 plus years since we saw each other
we made a new log book for this years 9 month adventure, it has 100 double sided pages
our friend Clark James returned from a 7 year adventure in the Bahamas, and he had a few things to sell us, the wind vane, SSB radio, fishing gear, and much much more goodies
we had a family and friends get together on one of the hottest and humid day all year
