I don't know how we do it, but we always manage to find some unwanted goodies, that need to be gone, we had a successful garage sale, made some more funds for the cruising kitty, and my daughter Lily made some extra cash for her downpayment on her new home.
I had a chance to take Carter swimming at the YMCA
then to the gym and Lily took a break from her work to join us for a few minutes
my good friend Kyle Weatherhead, was one of the torch bearers for the Pam Am Games
his mom Nancy and about 40 people watched in the rain
Sue and I removing the old insulation in the crawl space in her home, getting it ready to have spray insulation added
the area is only 4 feet high, and was a bit of a challenge for us old folk ..ha ha
this is the finished job, from 3 - 4 inches added , this should make the basement more efficient
we hired pro's to do this part
the old insulation packed up and off to the dump we went. It was so light it only cost us $20
next we headed to the soccer fields to watch Wyatt Baker
and Carter Reid play soccer .. what a joy to see these 4yr olds play the game
Carter taking a break to give Lily a big hug
the vegetable garden is growing, we are eating the lettuce, onions, shard and beet tops and rhubarb
this is the first time in 3 years that Joe and I have been home in the summer. Gardening is one of my
joys.
Joe flew to Edmonton, Alberta to visit his son
this is part of the huge Edmonton Mall
play area for kids, plus miniature golf, ice rink, water plash parks, etc.
Scott, on a hike with his dad
they headed off to Banff for a night
Scott is a skateboarder and here he shows his talent with the mountains in behind
