Snowbird got there motor back and Dave says it runs better now than when they bought it 4 years ago.

Joe and I spent all day with our dinghy on the deck of the boat, trying to fix the one now major leak .. so patches over patches DOES NOT WORK …

Thursday, Xmas Eve day we had a breakfast at Green Turtle Club, about 40 boaters attended, we all stood and told our names etc. and stories .. it is amazing how many Nova Scotia cruisers there are here.

We topped off our water tanks at 25 cents a gallon, and headed out of White Sound … not really thinking of the tides, which is 4 - 5 feet here.  so the keel touched once. Snowbird following us about 1/2 hour later and they touched twice.  The reason is we are on the full moon and the tides are extreme for the next few days.

Anchor down  just outside New Plymouth, and we pump up the dinghy, it now lasts for about 1/2 hour, so it gets us to town and then we pump it up again to get back to the boat.

We bought a freshly made conch salad from the docks and took it to Snowbird for drinks and snacks at 4pm.

There is a few bars on the waters edge, but tonight 2 where alive with music, "Pineapples" started the music at 5pm and "Sundowners" started at 9pm until …… (a famous saying in these parts) … Joe and I sat on the bow and had some spiked eggnog  and listened to the music and enjoying the xmas lights on shore.

We had kind of hoped the music would stop at 1am, but no it continued until 2:45 am .. remember starts at 9pm until …..

Christmas Day

Phone calls where made back home to family, Joe got to talk to his mom and most of his siblings .. I left messages at my sisters homes . Scott was called in Edmonton, Sue Allison in Shallow Lake, and Lily will get her call on Boxing Day.

Joe and I spent a few hours making our California Rolls (Sushi) for the Boaters Pot Luck, which was happening at 2pm at "Sundowners" …  there was about 60 boaters and tons of great food, Janice and Cam, Nova Scotia came thru with her lobster chowder, two big pots of it …
it was a great get together and we met more cruisers that we will meet along the way ..

pump the dinghy up again and head back to the boat before dark ..
