February 18-20, 2016
Joe and I had a lazy morning on the boat, we are well hooked and secure from the N NE E 20-25 knots.
We headed to shore after brunch to find the other 2 sandy beaches on the ocean side. The iguana's are a bit larger on this side of the island.
We got invited to sv Persephone, Bob and Patricia for happy hour, they made Cassava fries, chicken fingers with mayo and horseradish dip and beer from the Dominican Republic, in very large bottles. I took lime pickle, hummus, dates, oysters and peanuts. They wanted to know about the Eleuthera's and Abaco's, we we went over their charts and marked anchorages etc.
We kept hearing on the VHF that the anchorage at Big Majors was over 50 boats and some where too close to each other, and Black Point anchorage had about 40 boats. We where 1/2 way between each of these two anchorages and we had only 2 boats, not counting the 100 ft that stayed for a short time. So we stayed for 3 nights.
Saturday, we moved to Black Point to once again try and get to talk to now
Beef's brother, Lorne about the dinghy. When we got to shore we found it was moved to some unknown location. Again we had no luck getting a price and location. We are getting frustrated.
