the mast that Joe and I saw being made in the dry work area, being stepped
our locker is full of the last of the cushions and our clothes that we leave on the boat ... this locker is not heated,... our friends Henry and Marie will be keeping a box of our varnishes, chalking, anything that freezes at their house (at home we would just take these items off the boat and return them the next year) ... they live near Wolfville, N.S.
Joe is installing the last of the tarps ... he is thinking that maybe we should of taken the mast down ... cutting the tarp to fit around the mast and shrouds, is time consuming ... we spent 9 hours today, just fitting the tarp ... we are very tired and sore
MODAKI, is all wrapped up for the winter ... we will be able to watch the surveillance camera to see how well the tarp holds up .... in this area, the max. snow is 2 feet all winter long, what happens here is more sleet and rain ... Modaki is positioned to drain out the stern (but if you know Grampians the cockpit drains are not the best), something that Joe and I would like to change.
