November 30- December 1, 2016 Don't Rock Passage

one of the many Bahamian plants in bloom,
unfortunately we don't  know the name of it, not in our plants and flowers booklet

Joe is making me a new smaller veggie container, drilling holes for more ventilation,
this one sits better under the salon table and out of the way

our collection from walking sand dollar beach and Joe found our first
Sea Bean of the year

we got up at 6:30 and started putting on our sails, this was the first time in 2 days
that the wind stopped blowing strong for a few hours

we are now on a mooring ball in Black Sound, waiting for the wind to shift and seas to settle
down for us to cross the Whale

and its alway time for another beach walk, No Name Cay is
behind us .. there is now 17 pigs on the island .. a real tourist attraction
some of them have learnt to swim

the day has come to do the Whale, but we decided to not do the ocean part and
we followed another Canadian sailor thru Don't Rock Passage …the shallowest at high
tide was 6.6 ft and we draw 5 ft. , it cut off a good hour to our day .. now we have the way mapped
for further crossings

new path

anchored in Marsh Harbour

we think this 30 plus high tree is a Mahogany Tree
very beautiful this time of the year

the palms are all in bloom right now also
