February 20 to 23, 2015

We did a last minute run to shore with garbage and mail postcards.

We got the anchor up at 10 am and motoring out the channel. We had full sails up all the way to Great Guana Cay.  It was a bit too much, we should of reefed the main. Two hours later we are at the dock at Orchid Bay for 50 cents/foot, or $15/night for us.  Water and hydro extra, (we didn't use either).

Snowbird, Clarity and Modaki all  went for a few walks on the beach, looking for sea glass, and sea beans. Kim (CLARITY) found a sea pearl, now that's something new to look for … I did manage to find one heart shape sea bean.

We finally got to met Jerry Taylor, PIPER, he was the sailor that offered to stay back with us, while we changed fuel filters when we made our first crossing, but we turned back to Florida instead.

Saturday night was rib night at Orchid Bay Restaurant. One pound for $10 dollars, with side dishes $5 dollars.  Clarity, Snow Bird and us all enjoyed this dinner.

Sunday morning we all got together to celebrate Joe's Birthday with coffee, cheese cake, rum cake and chocolate.

We motored with Snow Bird around to Fisher Bay, about one mile away and anchored for the night.  Within 2 hours an empty anchorage, had 19 boats, and mostly Canadian.

This was the first warm day to jump in the water and do some snorkelling. Dave went over to a reef and saw a turtle, angel fish and another out board engine.

We went to shore and visited the Famous Nippers. Sunday they serve a port BBQ meal … but we just hard a few drinks.

By nightfall the no-see ums where out in full force, and once again they had a feast.

Monday, we waved good bye to Snow Bird as they left to go around the WHALE and head back to Florida, to put the boat away. We have become good friends and promised to visit each other this summer.

Modaki motored to Marsh Harbour, where we did 2 loads of laundry, shopped at 2 grocery stores and topped up our internet packages, for the phone and I-PAD.

tomorrow is Joe's birthday  !!!!
