Happy Happy Birthday to me …. nothing like a good cold beer, first thing in the morning, thanks Joe … this was one of the few days that I have not been in my survival suit, just to keep warm
the river was full of the invasive water hyacines floating ….
an old cypress tree
this is what Georgetown looks like from the water
we anchored very close to the pulp mill, and lucky for us the wind was blowing away from us
some old piers up the river of Sampit
our travels from the day before 10 hours and 55 nm
it is great fun to watch the pelicans land, head first and wings sprawled
we had just passed McClellanville, and it is an area about 4 miles that you can't pass at low tide, so we decided to not go there to see the 1,000 yr old Live Oak …. we would of been stuck there for the rest of the day …. further on this boat went on the wrong side of the red bouy and was hard aground, he called TowBoat US
7 hours and 45 nm Mile 452
we have to phone into customs at every stop in the South Carolinas
Dave and Janine had Joe and I to their boat, for a birthday supper
thanks Snowbird
