August 9, 2014 … Annapolis Royal and Boat Reunion Party

Joe and I were up early and made our California Rolls for the pot luck this evening at Dunroman Campground, at the Bahamian Boat Reunion …. they were a hit and passed off the recipe to our friends on Walkabout

oh my look at that sky above Walkabout …. we did our dinghy ride to town, full of rain gear … by the time we got to shore the sun was shining

the Farmer's Market was the best we have seen in years, there must of been 75 vendors, mostly selling locally grown veggies, home made bread and pastries  (French, German, Gluten Free) …

I picked up a few local artist cards to send home to family … Joe ate him self around the market, and got his fill of pastries galore …

this is John, he grows the best tomatoes in the whole valley … and they are for sure the best
he addressed Joe and I by name, when we stopped to sample … our friends Arthur and Elizabeth must of mentioned something to him

this man made great baskets … I'm the basket person, sure wish I had room for one on this wee boat we call home ….

this picture is for Harriet, Joe's mom …. the back of Arthur and Elizabeth's home .. the car garage and a complete screened in deck patio, on the 2nd floor … to die for outdoor space

we were treated to brunch with good friends of Elizabeth and Arthur …..

potato pancakes and waffles from the Farmer's Market, with sausage and bacon, and beautiful warm bread, blueberries, strawberry jam, whip cream, maple syrup, tomatoes ….

Joe and I with Arthur and Elizabeth ….

yeah back to the boat and a 3 story climb down to the dinghy dock .. 30 ft tide tonight
then we are off to our Boat Party at Dunromin

there was about 40 sailors here at the party, Walkabout came from Annapolis, USA  Elizabeth is sitting next to Joe and then Ryan (computer genius) and Randy in white hat and wife Carmen in hat also … Joe and I were the only sailors that have not been to the Bahamas yet …. we met some fantastic people

Cam Albright in the middle the host, sure handled that BBQ

note Joe in the middle of the mix

what a fantastic campground .. even with it's only turtle crossing

what a great surprise, Janis had a piper, pipe us into the campground and down to the water then ...

Janis at the mic, with her band friends entertaining us for 2 hours …..
then a car ride back to the boat, at high tide .. steps were level now … Walkabout and Modaki said good night as we motored back home ….
to be continued …..
