well life on a 30 ft. gets real cozy when you are taking her apart for the winter ... we had a few movies we wanted to watch .. so movie night again with pop corn ... life is better on the water !! |
we biked to the storage unit, to change our boat stuff from unheated to heated units .. it's cold in NB. in the winter |
maybe 30 cart load moved off the boat .. the water line kept getting higher and higher |
moving 2 carts at a time |
we are sharing a unit with "Genevieve" Moira and John Coull, from Picton, ..... MODAKI on the right |
pot luck with Moira and John and friends |
Mary Lou, carrying the boom, and always doing all the work, and Dave following behind to pick up the pieces .. just kidding Dave !!! |
our walk to Parlee Beach Prov. Park, right next to yacht club |

famous Parlee Beach |
the water was warmer than Sauble Beach .. |
we had hoped to return the following day for a swim, but did not happen |
pizza night ... anchovies too |
our friend Maurice and his son 2 1/2 year old, Maxime |
Maxime reminded me so much of Wyatt Baker, back home ... this young French lad knows more French than me |
Maxime is a sailor in the making, he loved to handle the tiller and got to stop the motor too. |
Walter, the Yacht Club manager said we would use wood from the old docks, for our mast supports, they also lent us the tools to get the job done |
skipper cutting the boards to fit |
this was a windy day, blowing 20 - 25 knots, and friends together, took instruments off about 4 boats in a morning |
another trip to the storage unit, GENEVIEVE on the left, and MODAKI on the right |
