leaving Port Washington, and Manhasset Bay, at 6:45 to get the tides and currents correct at Hell Gate, some of the massive homes on the way to East River
the seas were calm, just the way we wanted them
lots of barges and tugs every where
Throngs Neck Bridge, we had to pass under it at 8 am
here we go 7:55 right on schedule
La Guardia Airport
this is across from Rikers Island, the State Prison
another couple of bridges to pass under … they are all 136 ft or so high
just before Hell Gate
