October 10,11 and 12, 2014

a Skipjack boat at the show

one of the dinghy docks, close to the boat show, in Annapolis every road that ends at the water can be used as a dinghy dock, a few have garbage disposal also … this one is close to the Harbour Masters office, with showers and laundry

a look at the show from the water

Chesepeake Bay is known for its oysters, so venders are selling fresh oysters, not hotdogs and french fries …

our friend from sv Jabobs Ladder, Andy is giving tours of a beautiful catamaran , that is made in South Africa … we toured it too and can verify that it is the best Cat here at the show, all real wood, spacious, well built

the South African, Cat, I will post the particulars on it in a later post, only 4 or 5 are made a year, and if you have one built, your flight to  Africa is included in the price

Joe got a text from the bookstore, where he ordered the book "Roots", they found a copy, so we headed off in a new part of the city, and came across this beautiful area …. Saturday was pouring rain, so we decided to stay on the boat, Joe installed the LED lights that we bought at the show, these use 1/10 of the power

Sunday was nice and sunny, so we headed off the the boat show again, it was much more crowed, but we did get to sample free Gin, rum, wine and even coffee … sailors do know how to get the free stuff ….. and there were bikes everywhere, all shapes and sizes

the gold one has a small crown on the fuel tank

on Sunday we headed off to Home Depot, and grocery store, we took the earliest bus, that we could get, when the Gold bus arrived, the driver said, I'm going to the College, we said okay,…. are you going to Forest Drive and Home Depot,? ….Yes …. well we had an extended tour of another part of the city, an hour later we did get to our destination
well today is Sunday of Canadian Thanksgiving, so we BBQ turkey breasts and dressing.  Had mashed potatoes with gravy  ….

having limited pots on the boat, made it a bit of a challenge to get everything cooked at the same time

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to our kids, Scott and Lily … Joe's mom, Harriet Parker, and Sue Allison, and all of our extended families and friends back come in Canada ….
