Ontario to New Brunswick .. a road trip ..... 1881.3 km (1129 miles) gas expense $162.35 .. 29 hours in the car !!

We left Owen Sound Tues, June 4, at 7am, with the trunk packed to the max. with boat parts, repairs,

the back seat full of engine insulation (in the way) , computer, clothes, food, vinegar is my cleaning magic

there was not too many pictures taken in Ontario, as we wanted to put on the miles ... in Quebec we had lots and lots of road work, but the delays were very minimal

just pasts Quebec City, we had to get off the main highway and see our river, the St. Lawrence, that we passed thru 11 months ago

It was so beautiful, and magical, We have this connection to the river, both Joe and I could not take our eyes off her

we wanted to check out a marina that we did not have a chance to enter on our trip last year

Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse

it was low tide and we got to smell the salt air once again

the streets are so amazing with Heritage Homes, Cafe's, and SAQ.

how can you pass this up ???

Joe got his fix once again, with Cappuccino and Croissants

an old barn in Quebec

we had to visit an antique show ... car was too full to buy

Bic Island, we wanted to anchor here last year, but the fog ruled and we headed off to Rimouski

Pierre and Manon, good sailing friends we met last year, entertained us, fed us, and let us spend the night too !!! Life is good in Rimouski !! Thanks Master Pierre !!

only one small part of the gourmet meal Pierre, served ...  can we come back again in the fall, when we return by car to Ontario????

just had to stop at a few of the cover bridges, getting off the main road and stretching our legs is a very good excuse to remember that we are "Living the Dream"

then we get to see this

another view

another different covered bridge

still in Quebec  and up and down, railway tracks running along the valley floor

along the river, Riviere Matapedia,  the salmon fishermen, threw out an anchor and sat in the fast flowing river, to catch,  the fisherman had caught 2 salmon when we checked in on them

we are leaving Quebec, over the bridge to New Brunswick

I do have to say that Joe and I both wish we could speak French, better than our Gr. 9 education, but all of the French speaking people we have met in the last year and this year too, have been fantastic and put up with us trying to speak French !!  Merci

We are now in New Brunswick, Tide Head, the end of Chaleur Bay, we had hoped to sail in this bay last year, but weather and running out of sailing time , we had to miss this beautiful area.

Miramichi, just missed 10 Tall Ships, by one week

hey Owen Sound, this clock tells time , ha ha

pay by debit and it is  124.9  by credit 126.9,  we will have to check this out more as we just arrived and need a place to spend the night.
