Rimouski - Aug 15 and 16/12

it was quite foggy even in the marina - a racing boat
it would be nice to see it under full sail
another smaller racing boat
Modaki engulfed in fog
I am glad we are not trying to go some where today
the entrance to marina, a good idea
we went for a walk along the roadway to Canadian Tire, the view to stb.
in Quebec there are biking trails and walking trails every where, it was really nice to walk along the St. Lawrence
Pierre from TUDLEQ, drove us to the bank, post office, camera shop, and groceries.  The last time we provisioned like this  was in Portneuf, July 29 .... we where short mostly on milk and fresh vegetables and fruit
now finding places for everything
Martin, Helene et Gabrielle St. Pierre,, NORDAN, invited us to their 39ft. Corbin for dinner ... we had a great evening, including sampling Martin's own smoked salmon. We met on the Saguenay.  Martin has has given us lots of good advise for sailing around Gaspe and beyond.
NORDAN, coming into her own dock in Rimouski
We bought an extra radar reflector, a lot of the boats have 2 hanging up high.  Pierre  from (TUDLEQ), lent us his extra one, (when we where on the Saguenay) to get us to Rimouski, where we bought our own at a near by marina store. Joe is just hoisting it up !!!
there is a lot of working boats here
car ramp to ferry
the ferry runs 4 times a day from Rimouski to Forestville, on the north shore
it was really cold here today and with north east winds
it was amazing to watch the ferry back up to the car ramp .... looks like he has done it hundreds of times before
catamaran ferry
one of the fishing boats coming in, the crab season is over but they are fishing for flat fish
there was a lot of boats on dry dock here
Manon and Pierre had us to Pierre's place for supper (we met in the Saguenay),  it is great to get local knowledge for sailors that are from this area.  We will always remember Baie Eternite !!!!
