Sunday July 15/12
Grenadier Island - Brockville
We had a relaxing  morning, no need to rush because our next destination is only 2 1/2 hours away.
Joe did more of his laundry and I worked on the blog ... getting it ready to post, once we find wifi.
12:30 we had the anchor up with loads of weeds, even at 23 ft depth.
This time we have to go out to the main channel, no wind again so motored.
1/2 hour later we met our first freighter, then an hour later one came up behind us.
This part of the main channel is in U.S. waters.  We came upon some beautiful houses on small islands ... one was Dark Island or Singer Island.  Singer Castle was built in 1896 by Frederick Bourne of the Singer Sewing Machine Company.  It is a summer home .... tour boats circled and some docked to give tours of the castle.  We are sorry we missed motoring by the Boldt Castle, also in
American waters.  We could not dock at Singer Castle with out going thru customs first.
We worked our way thru Brockville Narrows, lots of currant in this area  ... we gained 2 knots.  We anchored behind Smith's Island  .. a bit rolly with power boats wake and freighters passing by.
Made spaghetti sauce for a supper meal.  I still have roaming charges with Bell, but Joe phone is okay. (Rogers)
It has been hot and muggy all day .. it tried to rain today but we only got sprinkles.
Had a great swim.
