Trois Rivieres- Portneuf July 26/12

- we we where up and on the river at 5:15 at high tide
- when you live on the river your biggest freinds are the freighters
- Joe changing the French flag, because our first one was ripped in the last wind rain storm
-Richelieu Rapids ...I thought 10.3 knots was fast .... it was not our top speed on this trip
- we got to the rapids at low tide, which was recommended to us,
- days track  we went 34 actual miles, but because of the currants and tides our metre read 21.5 nm
- we came in at low tide, pumped out and filled with diesel and liked it so much we stayed for 4 nights ... BUT only had to pay for 3 ... nice place
- meeting Isabelle, Rejean and Eloise, after 9 - 10 years  ... Lily and Eloise when each in grade 7 and 8, twinned on a french/english exchange for these 2 years
- at high tide we can see over the break wall
- there was a great restaurant, which we had supper in
- the floating docks where attached to the breakwall, it was great to watch them on High and Low tide
- entrance to marina
