Hi everyone, we are safe and sound in Portneuf, Quebec.
We have not posted on the blog, because of computer problems. First it was not connecting to wifi, which we found out that my old Mac was not compatible with new wifi connections .... so we purchased a new computer in Quebec city. Now we are having problems down loading pictures to the blog. We are about 10 days behind on posting. The Mac store transferred all of my files from the old to the new computer. What we are thinking is some where, something has gone wrong. I am sure it is not me, haha.
We will have spent 4 nights in Marina de Portneuf, visiting our French friends (family). Lily, my daughter did a French exchange here 9 and 10 years ago, while in grade 7 and 8. Her family here, Isabelle, Rejean and Eloise, have taken us to Quebec City for the day, drove 2 times back and forth, to get the new computer, treated us with lunches and dinners and many fantastic times, helped us stock up on food etc.
Tomorrow morning with high tide we will be leaving here for Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, then to Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, then to La Malbaie, and Tadoussac and up the Saguenay River. All of this could change if we get a east or north-east heavy wind.
Joe is working on the tides, becaused we have to leave here around one hour or so after high tide, so we can ride it out the St. Lawrence ... and we have to arrive one hour or so before low tide, at our next port of call, so we have enough water depth to get into the harbour. So we figure we will only be on the water for 4 - 5 hours at a time, per day.
The tides here in Portneuf is 9 - 10 feet. We have lots of pictures to post, once I can figure the new system out.
