- the cigar boat was very very big and so loud ... everyone knew they had arrived
- the famous water fountain ... it was so hot boats would go so close just to get a spray or two ... our friends on "Redhead" said we could take there dingy ,just to cool, under the spray.
- some weather was coming in .. and it was a relief for a few minutes ... rain
- lots of live music at the old canal, just beside where we where, on Thurs. Fri and Sat nights ... also the light show also.
- the newspaper advertises the wine and beer in ads ... who come we can't have this in Owen Sound
- a special area for kayaks , called Kayak alley ... it was so nice to watch them manouver in these waters ... I wanted to jump in to cool off
- the old cotton factory was made into condo's .... they had a great view on the river
