passing thru Telegraph Narrows
bridges every where
have you ever laid on the deck of your boat ...
and watched the mast pass under said bridge ...
what a rush !!!
a beautiful old cottage on Long Reach ... not too sure
about swimming here
some sail boats on the hard ... being worked on
the end of Long Reach .... I now know why it is
called Long Reach ... heading to our anchorage
it was bed sheet, laundry day
the individual 4 cushions in the V-berth bottom sheets where
easy to wash and hang to dry
the large top sheet, did not fit on the life lines ...
so we had to hang it on the boom
This was a good place for laundry ... in an area with farmers
fields and no close houses.
JULY 9, 2012
Sandy Bay to Hay Bay
We had a good night sleep, but the wind changed to more east and we had a
steady roll coming into the bay. Not bad, but rocking a bit.
All the laundry was dry by morning. After pancakes and strawberries we set out to sail to our next destination
There was not much wind and what we had was right on the nose ... so we motored
for 3 1/2 hours.
Telegraphy Narrows, Deseroto, Long Reach .. we headed to Hay Bay, Witlow Point.
(Brian and Elaine Mundle had it marked on their chart as a quiet anchorage).
We needed to do some washing of our bedding ... so we thought we could use the bay water, but it had little creatures swimming around in the water. We decided to use our precious drinking water to wash and rinse the sheets.
Hanging them out to dry was a bit of a challenge for the queen size top sheet. But the 4 individual bottom sheets where easy to wash and dry.
