our sailing friend Dave Bath helping re-adjust Jack stands, to get the hydraulic trailer under MODAKI,
the one on the angle was a real balancing act.
Modaki, leaving Romeo's Yard, Shediac, NB .. for her 2 mile trip to the sea
Joe and I climbing off the back of a Dodge 3500 truck to get on to the deck of our boat ... something we do every day .. NOT .. life is so full of surprises ..
Jacque Landry hauled us Sept. 15, 2012, from a crane, and launched us June 10, 2013, from his trailer
he is the guy to call if you are ever in the area
at this point we were far enough in the water to start the motor, the intake was under water, Joe and I started the motor 2 times the day before to make sure everything was working ... and she started on the first try too ..
Jacque had to do his magic with the hydraulic trailer to release us
Modaki is finally in the water, the trailer still in the salt water.
it is still hard to believe that a we can be launched this way ... thank you Jacque !!!
Modaki floating, all thru hulls holding the seals,
Heading off to dock
many thanks to our good sailing friend Dave Bath for taking these pictures for us !!!!!
my pictures on board, being set free from the trailer
we are at our dock, until we get ready to head off a few miles to the next marina to get the mast up !!
Pointe du Chene Yacht Club .. view from our boat !!!
