in Pointe du Chene, there is a Coast Guard Station, so Joe and I asked to have a Pleasure Craft Courtesy Check, on Modaki, we had JP Gagnon on board to check up on our safety equipment and sailing plans. Once we got thru all the safety things we needed for the sticker (we are safety conscious cruisers) and we met the regulations, and the inspection was over. We got to ask a few questions and found out that JP is heading off to St. Lucia, for medical school this September for 18 months, than practicing in USA, for internship and back to St. Lucia for school again.
Good Luck JP , you have the world ahead of you !!
Joe and I take safety very seriously , we received a lot of good information from
JP, and from now on are going to file a sailing plan with Sydney Coast Guard, while we are in
the Maritimes
Joe and I walked at low tide the beach beside our yacht club, which is only 3 - 4 feet.
the ripples on the sand is artwork
it is a north wind, and cool, but we are 1/4 mile off land at low tide, our yacht club that we are in
is to the left of Joe
will have to look this clam's name up ! (Fred)
another view of Shediac, and our yacht club we are at, for sure, make sure you follow the bouys in.
a window box I hope Joe will make for me to put on his storage shed
the next pictures are what you get when you leave the car at home, or at the marina !!
I have to call home !!
Moose Beer is from New Brunswick ...... I wonder what Prince Edward Island has
to offer ???????
ok, back to work ... we are installing sound proofing insulation to the motor, a big process, and we got 2 sides installed today, the rest is to wait until we are under way.
Wed. night is race night at Shediac, 15 boats out
also it is biker night, this one caught my eye, the bike not the biker !!! Well !!
Owen Sound should do this at the harbour, many dollars could be earned cause many dollars are spent here every night in the summer ????
