we left at 4:15 just behind S/V Kianda,... Dave and Jess have sailed to Iles-de-la-Madeleine, before, Jessica's mom lives on the Islands.
you can't see it but our Canadian Flag is flying high as we motor out to the Northumberland Strait, and into the darkness .. thank goodness for this time of year and it get light early and same thing at night. We had the radar on getting use to it again, most of us never look back behind, well a fishing boat came from behind and .......
I am taking pictures and forget about the wake ..... He is at a reasonable space from us, we just forgot.
these fisherman don't make much money for all of the work that they have to do in a day.

at about 10:30 am we have the Cruise Ship aboard, which is half way for us ...
VFH does not work, with Sydney Coast Guard, and never cell phone ... so we are told to plan your crossing with the cruise ship, incase of emergency .. TONS of thanks to the locals for telling us this!!
we had a narrow window to do the crossing with the winds to our favour ... once around East Point, life was unsettled ... not much wind to keep the sails full, it was uncomfortable crossing for 11 hours, we motor sailed to keep up the speed because the winds were to pick up .. and they did !!
hazy coming to Ile d'Entree, and 4- 6ft seas
we decided to go around the island which added one hour to our day, the passage between the island and sand spit is questionable with no knowledge , and rough seas.
we got hit by wind off the island, while trying to lower the main, the wind picked up, too much. We had about 5 miles to cross to the marina. The Ferry from Entre Island, headed out and of course we are on a collision course. The Skipper radioed to the Ferry, while we were struggling to keep control of our vessel, if we should keep course or fall off, THANK YOU, the Captain of Ferry , that he saw our position and responded in English, that he would alter course !!!
very shallow waters here ... we understand that there are 500 ship wrecks around the islands

the island ... time to explore ... but sleep is needed
